could you please tell me if Play station 3 is identical for Europe as the USA or are there differences and if I buy in the USA for nephew will it work in Belgium

If you buy a PS3 in US, it will work on most of the TV's that are bought in the last 5 years. The thing to check is what is the output signal of PS3 in states and if the TV in Belgium supports that. In case there is a regional code on the games/movies PS3 will launch in Belgium (nobody knows that as it is not launched yet) then you may need to bring games with you for your nephew.

I don't think you will be able to take it out of the country. There are some weird regulations about exporting the advanced video games. How about buying it from a website catering to European Union and having it delivered directly to your nephew. This way you will be sure the connections work and that you are not putting yourself on the Department of Homeland Security's most wanted smuggler list.

It works , and don't worry about sending it , I have send lots of things to my Grand kids from Las Vegas ( where I live ) to Belgium . Make sure the package you send does not exceed a certain size. Check the post office for that , because if it is too large , customs in Belgium will get it and , who ever is receiving the package will have to pay ....a lot ... I know believe me .

Is there a good chance to find a job in belgium
Is there a good chance to find a job in belgium?
specifically but not only in brussels. i am a software engineer but any information about work in the technology or engineering industry will be greatly appreciated.

no as u expected, if u are dimond cutter, chances are bright.

u need to look urself really as just sending an email with your cv isn't enough! will be taugh but with IT you have a good chance to b successful!

yes but you have to stay in middle east and contact via the company. they wanted a lot of people from middle east and turkey to work in holland and belgium.

The previous answerers forgot a small detail: your nationality. If you are not a citizen of any EU member state chances are extremely slim that you can get a job in the EU. Yes some 10 or 20 years ago the needed a lot of Turks ,Greeks and Moroccans to work in Western Europe. Which they are now trying to send back to their country of origin with a small golden parachute. Unless you are a brain surgeon and not any brain surgeon but one specialized in the left temporal lobe and you are invite by an EU sponsor your chances are almost non existent. Also dont forget the language question. In the EU almost everybody with an academic degree speaks 3 or 4 languages. If you are thinking that you can sit there and email your resumé in English you better start looking for the nearest Berlitz office.

will the wifi on my computer work in Europe?
Okay so I am going to Belgium for 5 weeks and staying with a French speaking family and watching their kids. I was considering to bring a laptop so I could web chat with my boyfriend, family, and friends. Will the wifi work on my computer in Europe of no? Thank you so much! Im leaving in 20 days!!!

Hello, I'm a non-EU citizen and working at a Global company.My company's belgium branch has applied for a work permit for me to work in belgium.I got the work permit(B type) and its valid for one year.Now i will apply for the belgium visa. I need to travel schengen countries before my residence permit and I do not want apply for D+C type visa due to long application time.My question is if it is possible to get residence permit if I apply for type C visa or must I have to apply for type D visa. Thanks.

It would have been much easier to answer your question if you would have told what you are [citizenship] instead of telling what you not are [non-EU citizen]! If you need to travel to other Schengen countries initially you will need to apply for the so called hybrid visa [type D/C] valid for "België/Belgique + Schengenstaten/Etats Schengen" which grants the stay in Belgium and the travel to other Schengen countries within the first 90 days of the visa validation. National visa type D for Belgium are usually issued to work permit holder, if required. They are in general valid for 90 days and require the visa holder to get registered at the community of residence and apply for a residence permit [verblijfstitel/titre de séjour] which also serves as visa waiver to the other Schengen countries. Type C tourist/ business visa are not the basis for an extended stay using a work permit.
