I'm moving to Belgium and I want to know if I should bother taking my tv set with me. I understand that there is a different broadcasting system in Europe, so will my tv work there, can it be adapted? Or will be it better to give it away and buy a new one?

Yes it will work however, as with all electronics that are over here you will need an adapter to be able to plug it in.

Your TV will not work in Belgium. Their TV system is PAL. See link to TV standards table. http://www.videouniversity.com/standard.htm
